scienceWelcome to the Student Chapter of the AMS/NWA website at Kean University. We are a student run organization open to all majors. We specialize in providing interested students and meteorology majors with and understanding of weather and its phenomenon, using outlets such as television, radio, print media and trips. We hold meetings every Tuesday at 3:15 PM from September thru May. We meet in Room 336 Located in the Science Building. Our past trips have included Explorer of the Seas, the North Eastern Storms Conference, and the 33rd Annual Nation Weather Service Association in Kentucky. We participate in events such as the WxChallenge and at the end of the spring semester we hold an annual picnic including other departments. KeanCast is developed by student meteorologists using WSI. It is taped in the media department and then broadcasted throughout the entire campus.
